Pocket Guide to Presents!
For the people on your list who love homes and housewares. Our picks support small businesses and/or sustainability.
Vintage Decanters!
Sometimes you can find old decanters in a set complete with shot or cordial glasses. Can be used for wine, spirits or table water. Check local antique and thrift stores.
Tea Towels!
These towels all come from suppliers with sustainability commitments.

70s Desk Accessories!
Too cute for home office, kid's art table or college students. Search Etsy for space age organizers or stores like @homeunion carry these as well.
Vintage Books!
For coffee table decor or actual reading! I love @curioroom - a second-hand bookstore in Mt. Kisco - they have a kids' section and even some vinyl. ❤️
Small Boutique Finds!
From upper right, clockwise:
1. For serious antique lovers, try @blithewoldhome in Mt. Kisco.
2. For affordable ORIGINAL art, try @collyersmansion in Brooklyn. This lovable cowboy art is by @pauline_de_roussy_de_sales
3. For books like this adorable collection of Hayao Miyazaki artwork, try @collierwest in Brooklyn.
4. For cool and unique table linens like this herd runner, try @sarzastore in Rye.
Vintage Platters!
Perfect for people who entertain - look for chargers, serving plates and other standalone pieces that could be used for serving or just for display. If you're attending a party, bring one filled with cookies for your hostess gift!
College Edition!
Idea #8: For students living in their own apartments for the first time! Baggu reusable cloths (@baggu). Vintage mixing bowl set (for actual baking/cooking, housing a potted plant, or put one at the door/desk to collect keys, wallets, etc.). Reclaimed-fiber throw (@shopjhappleseed). Recycled-glass tumblers (@revival). Vintage lamp (just check that it's still in good working order).
Kid Stuff!
Vintage melamine and tupperware make super-fun kitchen or sand toys. Thrift a chair, sand and paint rainbow for a bedroom or play space. Recycled-fiber blanket (this cute mountain throw is from @sackclothxashes ). Vintage commemorative artwork. My son is really into inventing tales about the "Little Penguin," so this penguin art would be perfect to remember that delightful hobby.
Fiestaware!
Vintage fiestaware can date all the way back to the 1930s. It comes in every color imaginable and there are lots of functional options: vases, pitchers, mug sets, teapots, bowls, etc. A nice pop of personality for any kitchen or living room. I use the tumblers in my bathroom for toothbrushes!!
Vintage Frames!
Add a photo or some kid art and you have a sustainable and unique keepsake!
